An 8-century old story as seen and captured by 7 photographers in June 2004. A journey of happy and sad images of a world that vanishes little by little.

The exhibition will be hosted between 15 June - 3 July 2005 in the French Institute lobby, Bucharest, Bd. Dacia, no. 77

The Opening night:

• at 18.00 - the conference “Fortified Churches in Transylvania - the architecture of an cultural identity” - speaker: Hanna Derer - (speaking in French)
• cocktail and admiring the exhibition in the presence of the artists
• at the opening there will be a medieval music concert by Nomen Est Omen (19,00).

Throughout 9 days, the 7 young photographers of the Mioritics Association covered an area around Sighisoara - Medias – Sibiu – Agnita (around 60 furtified churches were visited during their tour). They have traveled almost 1250 km through beautiful, full of history but forgotten places.

PhotoRaid is meant to be the first step of a larger project of tourist and cultural rehabilitation in the area.
